New Scott Dualraid adventure

apparel at GPS4Africa

GPS4Africa has grown into the most illustrious motorcycle adventure store in South Africa. From humble beginnings where owner Pauli Massyn ran a little GPS fitment business out of his garage, they are now one of the biggest and most respected stores in the South African motorcycle world. They stock every adventure aftermarket accessory you could need in a showroom that puts the iStore to shame, and will fit it in their glass-walled fitment centre.

Luckily, though, they also have a change room where only some of the walls are glass.

The newest products to grace the GPS4Africa showroom are the Scott Dualraid adventure apparel range. Scott, like GPS4Africa, is a renowned name in the motorcycle world having produced gear for motocross in their US base since 1970. Since then, they have branched out to cater for nearly every segment of the motorcycle world (and do a load of stuff for bicycles and skiing but, you know, no one is perfect), not least of which the adventure apparel.

The Dualraid range consist of adventure jackets and pull-over riding trousers in two colour options (see gallery below). They are constructed using a 500D Polyamide fabric that’s designed to be both durable and breathable with a removable wind- and waterproof Dryosphere membrane. Protection is offered through removable SAS-TEC protectors and double fabric in places like the elbows, plus there is a pocket for an optional back protector. There is also space to slot in a neck brace.

For the African sun, there is ventilation in the chest, back and sleeves, but if you really want to come over all Avenger action hero, the sleeves are removable. Of course, there’s a range of pockets including one inner pocket, two water resistant waist pockets with handwarmer pockets, two chest pockets, one timecard and rear pocket, plus a water bladder pocket for an optional Hydrapak.
