The International Female Ride Day is taking place on 1 May and, as the name suggests, is a day dedicated towards lady motorcycle riders, or better yet, encouraging people of the feminine persuasion to pursue the motorised, two-wheeled life, one that no doubt anyone reading this already knows the advantage of too well.

The event is a collaboration between The Litas Johannesburg and The Ladies of Harley, two organisations that have taken the motorised two-wheeled transport notion to heart and wish to spread its glorious love further.

There will be three groups starting from three venues – Triumph Motorcycles South Africa, ROC Harley-Davidson/FAST KTM and Fire It Up, and the ride will rotate through all three venues before ending at Bikers Warehouse in Northriding.

Each venue will offer coffee and drinks, while Bikers Warehouse will have stalls offering sustenance plus various dealers and brands showing their wares.

The groups are meeting at each starting venue at 8am to set off together at 9am and are expected to be at Bikers Warehouse between 11:30 and midday. All lady riders of all riding types and experience are welcome.

The three start venues can be found here:
Fire It Up: 1 Halifax St, Bryanston, Sandton, 2191
FAST KTM: Corner Voortrekker road and, Louis Trichardt St, Alberton, 1448
Triumph: Cnr South & Dartfield rds Eastgate Ext 13, 2031
