NiteX, the famous night time extreme enduro event, graced the grounds of Biker’s Warehouse in Randburg once more under the new management of Powasol (not the other one) Extreme Events, giving Mike Puzey and his crew some much needed rest, which they didn’t take and instead ran around like mad hatters, as usual.
The evening was a success, as the floodlights glowed over the newly-designed extreme enduro track, complete with wood water crossings, tractor tyres, logs, rocks, climbs, jumps and, in one case, a light drowning.
The crowd turned out in droves, enjoying the bar, the racing, the action, the food stalls and the bar. It started that afternoon from lunch time and finished closed to 10pm that evening when Blake Gutzeit beat Altus de Wet in the Pro finals. The entire event was live streamed on the Biker’s Warehouse Facebook page and the live videos can be viewed there.
Like previous years, there are plans afoot to host more NiteX evenings this year, with dates and details to be announced soon. For now, see the image gallery below.
