Life is becoming far more convenient for Ducatisti living in Joburg as a trek to the far-off land of Centurion to buy Ducati goods is no longer necessary.

Ducati South Africa has opened Ducati Sandton at 187 Rivonia Road in Morningside, above the Ferraris and Porsches in Fouche Motors. This is the Italian brand’s third dealership in South Africa after the initial flagship store at World of Motorcycles in Centurion and World of Motorcycles in Cape Town.

The new store, fitted in typical Ducati classiness and style, features all available Ducati models and accessories. Famed Ducati technician Zoki Milanovic runs his workshop in the same building and handles all Sandton’s services and repairs.

The people on the floor are Roy Van Rensburg, who has been behind a Ducati sales desk since Ducati was still under Toby Venter’s wing and Chris Botha, who joins the Ducati family.

Where we previously saw the likes of Ducati and Triumph running only single-store operations, these brands are beginning to expand their coverage, meaning good news for people not living near the single dealership and that these brands are growing despite challenges such as the Covid restrictions.

Things are looking up.
