Competition: Win a meal for two from Rim & Rubber in Fourways

Rim & Rubber Competition 2The good people of Rim & Rubber Assembly in Fourways have just celebrated their second birthday and have been good enough to give away a free meal for two to the value of R700 at their restaurant and bar.

Rim & Rubber Competition 3This is good news for motorcyclists as Rim & Rubber has become the local for many a bike rider, bike club and enthusiast. It features a bike-themed restaurant and bar, plus a custom workshop, a motorcycle accessories and used bike store, a tattoo artist and coming soon is a barber. With all this, R&R becomes a sort of one-stop shop.

To win the meal for two, you need to tell us what ingredients you would put on your own custom burger. While the thought of creating something succulent that will tantalise the taste buds is an appealing one, keep in mind that we are looking for something creative, imaginative and, above all, fun. Basically, we want something that will be good to read out on The Bike Show TV, and the best answers will indeed be read out on the show, with the absolute best winning the meal.

Rim & Rubber Competition 1This means that your answers need not be responsible, practical or even possible – let your imagination go wild. Please give us your ideas by leaving a comment in the comments section at the bottom of this page. The winner will be announced on The Bike Show TV and the voucher sent by email in the next couple of weeks.

Lets start with the bun… Screw storebought, you make your own… Beer bread dough formed into buns and baked…(500gr self raise flour, can of beer, tbs sugar, tsp salt….thats it).
Burger made from 50/50 mix lamb and beef mince ( try it before you shoot me down ), salt, pepper and garlic and a lekker heaped tbs beef n tomato soup powder…. When shaping burger, hide some good mozerella cheese in its middle… Fry in some olive oil, two patties per burger cos we mos lekker hungry ek sê…
Assemblage and trimmings – go BOS!
Start by cutting open beer bread buns and frying insides in the patty juices till crisp n golden…. lash some chutney on bottom bun half and put some lettuce on… caremelised red onion, some tomato then the 1st patty…. slap some cheese on it… fried slice eggplant on this, then the 2nd patty….it gets the same cheese treatment… avo on top this…then some EXTRA crispy bacon on that before carefully balancing top half of bun on your tower of yummyness…
Dislocate jaw and nom, nom, nom that mofo now…

The MONSTER Burger

CHOPPER some onions & add TWO STROKES of mayo.
Give it some GAS GAS with a FORK of fetta & a slice of LAMBRETTA.
For those who enjoy a bit of INDIAN, add a touch of curry powder.
If you prefer a more HARDLEY DANGEROUS burger, add some avo to cool those ENGINES.
Cheese is always a winner, a slice of CASIVA or some grated PIAGGIO will turn this into a NINJA burger.
For a real FIREBLADE, SWINGARM some Wasabi in there!
