Accommodation available at this weekend’s Paradise Rally
The Paradise Rally is taking place this weekend in the paradisal town of Sabie near the paradisal roads of Mpumalanga, the best roads in the world. We know this because we have ridden on roads all over the world and have yet to find one better than our own 22 between Hazyview and Sabie, or Long Tom Pass, or the road between Sabie and Graskop.
The rally is being held at the Floreat Riverside Lodge, the most beautiful resort in the most beautiful town in the area, and we genuinely believe that this is the most beautiful rally in the world.
More good news is that the Floreat Lodge says that they still have some accommodation left. They have various luxury flats and chalets, and as is sometimes the way with these things, people presume that all the accommodation is booked up immediately. To enquire about booking, contact Floreat Riverside Lodge on their website. Also, Floreat will recommend other venues in town should you want to rather sleep away from the rally.
For people not wanting to stay in bricked accommodation, camping is free with your entry to the rally, which is R200 per person. Apart from more accommodation and a great area, the rally offers live entertainment, fun & games, a wheelie street near the resort on Saturday between 11am and 2pm, bars, good food and the usual good rally atmosphere.
This is the fourth year that the Paradise Rally has taken place in the paradisal town of Sabie, a mecca for motorcycling, and strangely the Paradise is the first rally to take place in this town. We have to wonder why it has never happened before. It’s the perfect town for a rally.
